Mobile welding fume filter for a wide range of applications
The units of the AL-KO CLEAN UNIT F series are available in four performance classes with volume flows ranging from 2,000 to just under 6,000 m3/h. The flue gases generated at the welding point are guided, among other things, via extraction arms and hoods through a pipeline to the intake nozzle of the AL-KO CLEAN UNIT F. The flue gases are then removed from the welding area. Coarse particles are separated there in a large-dimensioned pre-separation chamber. The subsequently arranged filter cartridges of dust class “M” separate the remaining fine dust
During suction operation, the differential pressure-controlled filter cleaning system frees the filter cartridges from adhering particles. Venturi nozzles on the filter cartridges increase the cleaning effect and ensure consistent suction power and long filter service life. Depending on the application, the cleaned air can be returned to the work area. The units are suitable for single-place extraction, but in the more powerful versions they can also be connected to piping systems with several extraction points.
Patented dust bulkhead for dust-free container emptying and other options
Optionally, the welding fume filters of the CLEAN UNIT F series are also available with test mark “W3”. In this version, even welding fumes that are hazardous to health, e.g. when welding stainless steel, may be extracted and the cleaned air returned to the work area. A volume flow monitoring system continuously monitors the required suction power and warns with a horn signal if the value falls below the set value.
The cleaned dusts are collected in an easily mobile container. The optionally available, patented dust bulkhead enables dust-free container emptying, which significantly simplifies the disposal process. Furthermore, a variety of accessories such as extraction arms, spark traps, additional filter stages, etc. are available for the units.

At Blechexpo / Schweisstec, AL-KO Extraction Technology will be exhibiting the CLEAN UNIT F in Hall 7, Stand 222. True to the slogan “More than clean air”, AL-KO declares war on welding fumes and ensures clean air in the workplace.
In addition to the mobile welding fume filters, AL-KO Extraction Technology will also provide information at the trade fair about the complete further product range with powerful extraction solutions from 600 to over 150,000 m3/h air volume flow. Thanks to modern technology such as energy-efficient IE4 class motors (available as an option) and in combination with heat recovery systems from the AL-KO Air Technology range, there are almost unlimited possibilities for clean, healthy air in the workplace.
