Clean Air for Clean Work
Challenge
Planning the extraction systems for HOLZ-HER’s new showroom presented several demanding requirements. Space for the ductwork was limited and tight, and the system needed to be neither visible nor audible to avoid disrupting the showroom. Additionally, the system had to be flexible and powerful enough to meet the varying demands of the showroom – from individual presentations to open house events with maximum machine performance.
Solution
HOLZ-HER opted for the proven technology from AL-KO Extraction Technology. The modular filter system AL-KO PROFI JET® was installed in a separate building area to avoid disturbing the showroom. All areas of the system are accessible via a stairwell. The container for the shavings is located on the first floor and is easily accessible through a roll-up door.
In the system for HOLZ-HER, two AVR 450-22 kW fans deliver the necessary total capacity of up to 30,000 m³/h, each with an airflow rate of 15,000 m³/h. The material to be extracted includes shavings and dust of class ST1, primarily wood, but also wood composites, plastics, and composite materials. A frequency converter ensures that the airflow is always regulated according to demand, allowing the PROFI JET to operate with maximum energy efficiency.
The patented, fully automatic filter cleaning system AL-KO OPTI JET® ensures consistently high filter performance and long filter life. The collected shavings are disposed of pressure-free into the container on the first floor – the cleaned air is recirculated into various areas of the showroom.
Conclusion: With this solution, HOLZ-HER can ensure that the showroom always offers clean air, which is crucial for both the presentation of the machines and the training sessions. The entire project was completed in just three months, highlighting the efficiency and reliability of AL-KO Extraction Technology and its strong partners.
