Efficient wood chip extraction
Challenge
For the new production line in Vetlanda, the premium manufacturer Elitfönster had stringent requirements for the extraction technology to be installed. In addition to high performance and filtration efficiency, Elitfönster also required minimal thermal losses and noise emissions.
Solution
Before making an offer, the experts at AL-KO Extraction Technology visited the plant together with the Swedish trading partner SIT to assess the conditions at the site. The overall package and convincing advantages of the PROFI JET® modular filtration system fulfilled the customer’s high demands. Two radial fans, each with an output of 37 kW, easily achieve the required air flow rate of 45,000 m³ and ensure optimal removal of the wood chips. The time-proven AL-KO OPTI JET® filter cleaning system guarantees very high efficiency, and the insulated panel construction of the system achieves the highest thermal energy efficiency class in the industry. Additional silencing baffles ensure the high level of sound insulation required by the customer. Also, the modular design allowed installation of the extraction system in record time; the filter chamber was finished after only two days.
