Who is behind the support program?

The “Federal Support Program for Increasing Energy Efficiency in Companies” as it is known in full, is offered by the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control and the KfW Group. The funding is an incentive for companies to review their existing technology and then invest in new, energy-efficient and also climate-friendly equipment and systems.

Small and medium-sized companies with up to 250 employees can apply for funding. Their annual sales may not exceed 50 million euros or 43 million euros for the annual balance sheet in total. Large companies that exceed the mentioned limits can also apply for funding.

What facilities and systems are eligible?

For all new installations of AL-KO extraction units of the CLEAN UNIT, ECO JET, FLEX UNIT, FLEX UNIT ECO, POWER UNIT and PROFI JET series, an application for subsidy can be made, provided they are equipped with a frequency converter.

 

This power electronic device continuously controls the speed of three-phase motors (e.g. in exhaust fans) and optimally adapts it to the respective required power. In this way, the energy efficiency of the entire system is significantly improved! Even in operation under full load, a frequency converter saves up to 10 % energy by keeping the motor permanently at the optimum operating point.
